Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons (2020) proves that DC's animated features are better than their live-action works. In terms of gore and action, it was quite similar to Warnes Bros. Animation's other release of this year, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge. The prime difference being that Deathstroke had a better storyline whereas SC's animation was much better. A must-watch film especially for comic book fans.

A lawyer, Dan, has a one night stand with Alex, one of his colleagues whom he has recently met. Alex becomes obsessed with Dan and is not ready for him to leave her. She tries anything she can to destroy Dan's family life and have him for herself.

It's the movie that inspired the 90s trend of psychological thrillers like Basic Instinct, Fear, The Last Seduction and The Crush. This movie plays with the deep dark secrets of the human mind, exploring sexual jealousy and it's role in triggering psychopathic tendencies. Phenomenal acting from Glenn Close, which keeps us hooked. Michael Douglas does a great job too.

The climax is thrilling and action packed. A very memorable film and it's contribution to the psychological thriller genre is undeniable.

Another Netflix film which doesn't disappoint and makes proper usage of NF regulars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. A splendid South Asia-based whodunit and another worthy entry in India's high-quality police procedural movies. The only flaw I could detect is its uneven pacing. But it is nevertheless one of 2020's best releases.

Former child star Blanche Hudson, who is now paralyzed after an accident, is confined in a mansion by her sister Jane, who blames Blanche for her unsuccessful career. Jane wants revenge by torturing Blanche mentally and not letting her connect with the outside world. Now, Blanche needs to find help getting out of her sister's clutches.

This is one of the greatest thrillers I have ever seen in my life. Period. What a classic! The off-screen rivalry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford makes it's way in the silver screen and what we get to see is a magnificent classic.

Great acting from both the stars and a solid script is what makes this a legendary movie. Can't praise this movie enough. If you haven't seen this, then you don't have any right to call yourself a horror-thriller fan. Just kidding 😁 if you haven't, then go and watch this now!

The main issue is Kilgrave raised the stakes too darn high in season 1 and any follow up after which didn't rise to the same level was bound to feel anticlimactic. Also, the main male antagonist was rather dumb and pathetic. Having said all that, I really like the idea of power and its seeking and that the season was premised on speaking a various kind of 'truth to power'.

Season 3: HINDI LANGUAGE VIDEO REVIEW

The women of the show are all powerful beings, while the men are significantly castrated and helpless, including the main male antagonist. Even the sidekick male superhero is subservient to virtually every female character in the show, including his own sister. It was fascinating watching it all unfold.
By the end Krysten Ritter and Carrie-Anne Moss had really won me over with their tremendous acting. Carrie-Anne could be particularly contradictory and heartbreaking in a matter of seconds.
I really think the season got much less love than it deserved. I recommend it.

"Cruella" is the true to life prequel to the Disney enlivened exemplary "101 Dalmatians." The new delivery is a history about a youthful Cruella de Vil, and it's anything but a couple of Oscar-winning Emmas — Emma Stone as the future miscreant and Emma Thompson as a merciless fashionista.

Misfortune before long strikes at the cliffside house, and in a splendid uncover, the film gives Estella a justification her unbelievable disdain of dalmatians in "101 Dalmatians," in which the grown-up Cruella communicates a craving to make wearable style out of the canines' high contrast spotted coats.

Estella advances toward 1970s London and gets to know a couple of youthful criminals who show compassion for her, and the threesome makes due by their brains taking from others, yet meanwhile Estella harbors fantasies about becoming famous sometime and becoming famous with her style plans.

One of the cheats finagles a path for Estella to find some work as a cleaner at a retail chain where she acquires the consideration of the Aristocrat, who perceives the young lady's splendor and encourages the young lady at the Noblewoman's style house.

Starring Jared Leto and Alicia Witt in the lead roles.

A serial killer seems to follow the pattern of some old urban legends. Natalie, a student of Pendleton University, tries to find out about the connection between some gruesome murders happening around her and the urban legends.

This one is a good entry in a long list of thriller movies of the 90s like 'Scream' and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'.

It's a very suspenseful and chilling movie with brutal killings that is a must watch for horror lovers. The references to age old urban legends and the killer using them for killing the victims is a unique and original concept that's really interesting. It's hard for the viewer to guess who the killer is until the very end of the movie. A great watch. Highly recommended.

What a snore-fest of a film. Director Henry Hobson does his best to secure a dark atmosphere in contrast to an ill-lightened script. But Maggie, like many nocturnal dramas of late, is another failure.

The father-trying-to-do-everything-for-his-daughter message is addressed well throughout. Regardless, the emotions on screen are tragically misplaced.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gave the performance of a lifetime, but he can't be deemed the saving grace of the movie, because writer John Scott 3 did not leave anything to be salvaged from this desolation land.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of this classic John Carpenter film and also one of my favorites. The film is also on DVD and blu-ray. Happy 40th anniversary to John Carpenter's Escape from New York, one of the most popular science fiction movies from 1981.

40 years ago today on July 10th 1981, Escape from New York made its debut in theaters in the United States of America. It is a 1981 American science fiction action film co-written, co-scored and directed by John Carpenter.

It stars Kurt Russell, Lee Van Cleef, Donald Pleasence, Ernest Borgnine, Isaac Hayes, Adrienne Barbeau, and Harry Dean Stanton. The film's storyline, set in the near-future world of 1997, concerns a crime-ridden United States, which has converted Manhattan Island in New York City into the country's maximum-security prison. Air Force One is hijacked by insurgents and is deliberately crashed in New York City. Ex-soldier and current federal prisoner Snake Plissken (Russell) is given just 24 hours to go in and rescue the President of the United States, after which, if successful, Snake will be pardoned.

Carpenter wrote the film in the mid-1970s in reaction to the Watergate scandal. After the success of Halloween (1978), he had enough influence to begin production and filmed it mainly in St. Louis, Missouri, on an estimated budget of $6 million. Debra Hill and Larry J. Franco served as the producers. The film was co-written by Nick Castle, who had collaborated with Carpenter by portraying Michael Myers in Halloween. Released in the United States on July 10, 1981, the film received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success, grossing more than $25 million at the box office.

The film was nominated for four Saturn Awards, including Best Science Fiction Film and Best Direction. The film became a cult classic and was followed by a sequel, Escape from L.A. (1996), which was also directed and written by Carpenter and starred Russell, but was much less favorably received.

I just finished watching Captive State (2019) -a sci-fi thriller with a star-studded cast. I found the plot hard to follow as you really need to watch very closely and a few too many dark scenes to comprehend.

The film stars John Goodman, Ashton Sanders, Alan Ruck and Vera Farmiga,
the plot follows a young man who participates in the Phoenix ‘Chicago’ resistance who conspires to rebel against an alien race that has invaded and occupied Earth, the aliens enforce strict martial law on all humans. If you disobey you are either liquidated or taken off-world as slave labour.

We never learn where the aliens are from or what exactly are their plans? Average scifi film watched online 👍 tagline of the film ‘Light a match. Ignite a war. #covidlockdown2021

Nicolas Cage's latest offering, Pig (2021), doesn't live up to the hype.

I feel like most of Cage's previous indie releases outshine Pig in a lot of ways. I think the trailer hyped the movie too much. Oscar worthy performance by Cage (always except for The Wicker Man) but the screenplay renders the movie monotonous and the film itself doesn't fall short of "I Have Seen It All Before".

A young African-American boy must arrange enough money to pay his landlord and also for the treatment of his ailing mother. He joins the local robbers gang and goes to steal money from his landlord's family who lives in a huge and highly secured mansion. When he gets inside, he discovers something that he didn't expect.

The People Under the Stairs (1991) Review

This is a very popular and talked about Wes Craven movie from the early 90s. Though I have got mostly positive reviews about this one, I personally didn't like it that much. It's supposed to be a 'Dark Comedy', but the comic elements in the movie seemed forced and ineffective, in my opinion. It's a bit too long and at times felt dragged....but, yeah, some parts of it are genuinely thrilling and entertaining. To be honest, it isn't my cup of tea overall.

Review:

My today's watch:

THE BURNING (1981)
A summer camp caretaker gets horribly burnt after a prank went wrong. He returns for revenge after five years and starts slaughtering teenagers.
Another memorable camping horror movie from the 80s involving a lot of brutal kills, sex and cheese. This is one of the underrated camping horror slashers that didn't become as popular as Friday the 13th or Sleepaway Camp. The gore effects are amazing and the music is good too. Though the acting and dialogue are not up to the mark, this movie is scary and enjoyable. A good addition to the innumerable number of slashers the 80s are so well known for. I liked it a lot.

The Tomorrow War – I enjoyed the hell out of it. Was looking for a bombastic Sci Fi Action flick and got one. Story is dumb and full of unexplained scenarios one after another. Took some inspiration from Doug Liman’s Edge of Tomorrow. The aliens looked clone of many sci fi creatures mashed together.

Chris Pratt has done much comedy that even the during the intense moments it seemed like he’s gonna shoot some quirky one liner. Rest of cast did good it could’ve been better specially when you got J.K Simmons got on board. Director Chris McKay did a great job with handling action scenes with aplomb so good that he didn’t care about the story at all.

The Tomorrow War – Verdict
Action and creature CGI 8️⃣
Story 3️⃣

Overall 6️⃣

Better action than most big budget movies with lame story and zero legacy to carry on.

Main Cast

Chris Pratt who stars as Starlord in MCU

Yvonne Strahovski best known for starring in the TV series Chuck
